Over 217,000 couples get married in Ukraine in 2022 – Justice Ministry

Some 217,800 couples have got married in Ukraine since the beginning of 2022.
The Ukrainian Justice Ministry said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"In 11 months and 22 days of 2022, 217,800 couples in love officially became husband and wife. Out of them, 8,559 couples got married in just the first 22 days of December," the post said.
According to the ministry, the largest number of marriages this year were registered in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Kyiv city, and the Odesa, Kyiv and Lviv regions.
Earlier reports said that marriage registration in Ukraine had been simplified under martial law.
