This year, First Lady Olena Zelenska of Ukraine gave more than 60 interviews about the ongoing war to foreign mass media.

That’s according to Zelenska’s posting on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Difficult last day of a difficult year. Another Russian shelling of peaceful cities. People killed and wounded. And the world must be aware: while it is preparing for celebrations and setting off fireworks, Russia is launching missiles at us. I gave more than 60 interviews to world media this year. In each one, I testified about Ukraine's fight against the invader, about our dead and wounded, children and adults, defenders, and everyone who resists the aggressor with their daily work and their very lives," she wrote.

Zelenska thanked journalists for the opportunity to reach out to the world, telling of Ukraine's feat. "And {thanks – ed.) to each of them who speaks the truth and resists fakes. Those who don’t look for excuses for attacks and terror; who knows that war is closer than it seems; who informs the world that Ukraine is fighting not just for survival, but for the values common to all normal people; who personally came to us in these difficult months to see everything firsthand," she added.

The First Lady also separately expressed her gratitude to Ukrainian journalists who have been on the front lines since day 1 of the Russian invasion, who work at the front or under fire in their hometowns, newsrooms, in conditions of power outages, and anxiety for their families, so that compatriots and the whole world rally around the truth.

"I grieve for the dead - Ukrainian and foreign - media staffers," Zelenska wrote.

According to the First Lady, war has no borders. "But the truth has no borders either. With every word said, the truth wins. And it will achieve victory."

As Ukrinform reported earlier, in December, the spouse of Ukrainian President, Olena Zelenska, gave her first interview to BBC Radio.
