Ukrzaliznytsia evacuated 4M people, transported 314,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid since Feb 24

JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukrainian railways, evacuated more than 4 million people from dangerous areas of Ukraine and transported 314,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale military invasion.

"Ukrzaliznytsia has acquired a new meaning for Ukraine,” Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction, Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development Oleksandr Kubrakov wrote on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, Ukrzaliznytsia evacuated more than 4 million people from dangerous areas, more than 100,000 domestic animals, transported 314,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid.

The Ukrainian minister thanked each railway worker "for their strength and resilience", and also emphasized that they have already become "an irreplaceable part of our country's defense capability".

As reported, between February 24 and December 26, 303 Ukrzaliznytsia employees were killed while performing their work under conditions of Russian aggression.
