The Russians introduced "passes" for local residents, without which movement between temporarily occupied settlements of Zaporizhzhia region is prohibited.

"Starting from today, they [Russian invaders] banned movement between temporarily occupied towns and now it is necessary to get some kind of 'passes'," Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov said at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform on January 9.

Today, the Russians started issuing "passes" for commercial transport. Owners of private vehicles will be able to obtain such a "document" after a while.

As for leaving the occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region through the checkpoint in Vasylivka, the process is extremely difficult, Fedorov said. Over the past three weeks, only four people managed to leave for the government-controlled territory by this route.
