The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on Monday will hold a meeting where decisions will be passed to address “public demands for justice.”

That’s according to Oleksiy Danilov, the Council’s Secretary, who spoke at the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.

"Certain decisions will be made at the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council on Monday. We will reveal the details only after the relevant presidential decree is signed," said Danilov.

He noted that the latest searches at the headquarters customs and fiscal agencies were not a "one-time stunt". All government bodies interfering with the operations of enterprises and businesses must be "cleansed of those staining the nation with their actions," Danilov emphasized.

"If someone thinks that all these actions related to customs and other bodies were a one-time stunt, they are deeply mistaken. It’s hard to even imagine how high public demand for justice and order in the country is. If someone believes that they can keep collecting bribes, hampering the work of enterprises, businesses, burden them with some kind of extortion (this applies to all agencies, including the Security Service, tax, customs, police, and all the rest), believe me, those agencies will be purged of those who tar our country. Trust me, the President has enough political will to this end," Danilov emphasized.

As reported, in his address on February 11, President Volodymyr Zelensky vowed continued efforts to protect government institutions against any external or internal attempts to curb their effectiveness and efficiency.
