U.S. authorities discuss with Musk use of Starlink in Ukraine - Blinken

The U.S. government had conversations with SpaceX founder Elon Musk regarding the use of Starlink satellite internet in Ukraine.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said this on Saturday, Ukrinform reports with reference to Reuters.

Asked during an interview with NBC News that will air on Sunday whether the United States had asked Musk not to restrict the use of Starlink capabilities by Ukraine's military, Blinken said: "Well, I can't share any conversations we've had other than to say we've had conversations."

As reported, in early February, there were reports that the U.S. company SpaceX took measures to prevent the Ukrainian military from using the Starlink satellite internet to operate drones.

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov stated that there were no problems with the operation of Starlink terminals in Ukraine, which provide critical infrastructure, "points of invincibility" with stable internet, as well as allow Ukrainians to stay in touch with their relatives.
