Zelensky presents state awards to women of various professions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has presented state awards to women of various professions on International Women's Day.
The awarding ceremony took place in the presence of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in Kyiv on March 8, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"Today we thank our women who fight, who work, who care for the sake of peace for Ukraine, for the sake of protection of our lives, our freedom, our people," Zelensky said.
According to him, state awards were given to servicewomen, female employees of the medical industry, the State Emergency Service, state rail operator Ukrzaliznytsia and postal services operator Ukrposhta.
