Pope Francis greeted all those present and believers around the world for the Palm Sunday celebration and asked everyone to unite in prayers for peace, remembering Ukraine.

This is reported by Vatican News, according to Ukrinform.

“I thank you for your participation and also for your prayers, which intensified during these past days. Thank you!” said Pope Francis before leading the recitation of the Angels prayer.

Pope Francis offered his blessing to a peace caravan that left Italy for Ukraine in recent days to bring humanitarian aid.

He noted that this is “a sign of the closeness of the people of Italy to the battered people of Ukraine.”

“Let us unite ourselves to this gesture with our prayer, which will be more intense during the days of Holy Week,” he said.

As reported, at the end of March, Pope Francis was taken to a hospital in Rome after complaining of some breathing issues. Tests carried out showed that he did not have Covid-19.

On Saturday, April 1, Pope Francis was discharged from the Agostino Gemelli University hospital in Rome.
