On April 18, the National Museum of History of Ukraine will open a photo exhibition "Inscribed in history. Ruined by war", dedicated to the historical heritage of Mariupol, destroyed by Russian attacks.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The exhibition project showcases the historical heritage of Mariupol, the capital of the Azov littoral, which was destroyed by Russian invaders. The exhibit was created by the Mariupol community, people who sincerely love their city and have a hard time seeing its history being decimated," the report reads.

As the ministry emphasizes, the presented sights and historical locations are an important component of the city's history and culture. As a result of Russia’s full-scale invasion, a significant share of historical objects located in Mariupol were destroyed or damaged. These include monuments of architecture and monumental art.

"The full scale of the losses could be properly assessed only after the city is liberated," the ministry said.
