Trukhanov told how to solve problem of energy supply in Odesa
This was discussed during the Odesa Recovery Forum "Security. Integration. Potential", Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov said, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The city needs additional capacity. Currently, the municipality has developed a concept of energy security of the city, which aims to systematically address the problem of the lack of these capacities, including by generating energy within the city," Trukhanov said.
In a commentary to journalists, the mayor of Odesa said that the city may build a 30 MW gas piston station that will allow for energy generation within the city.
The construction will be supervised by the United Nations.
"The UN organization, which is currently building gas-powered stations in Kyiv, intends to build such stations in Odesa as well," Trukhanov said.
As reported, the Danish government has launched a new support program for Ukraine for 2023.
