That’s according to the Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories, Ukrinform reports.
As mandatory evacuation from Donetsk region has been ongoing since August 2022, about 70,000 citizens have moved to safer regions in nine months. Among them are more than 8,000 children and pver 3,000 people with reduced mobility, according to the report posted on Telegram.
Evacuation from the liberated territories, which was launched last fall, is also underway. Within its framework, more than 25,000 citizens left Kharkiv region in eight months. Over 23,000 people evacuated the recently liberated territories of Kherson region in six months.
The Ministry of Reintegration notes that the implementation of all measures for the centralized transfer of citizens to safer regions of Ukraine is planned in advance. The authorities, international organizations, and volunteers are doing their best to ensure people’s safety.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Government is creating Coordination Centers that will provide support and assistance to the population affected by the armed conflict, including internally displaced persons and war veterans.
