Cars with Ukrainian plates facing seizure in occupied Zaporizhizhia region, Russian invaders warn

In the temporarily captured territory of Zaporizhzhia region, the Russian invasion forces shifted their focus to private vehicles with Ukrainian license plates.

This was reported by the Berdiansk Syohodni Telegram channel, Ukrinform saw.

"In the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region, inspections of cars with Ukrainian license plates have intensified. The occupiers detain such cars at roadblocks and persistently ‘persuade’ their owners to register their vehicles with the Russian authorities," the report reads.

It is noted that the invaders are threatening confiscation if no action is taken and vehicles remain with Ukrainian license plates.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Russians are actively pursuing their campaign to naturalize the population in the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region, setting a "deadline" for September 1.
