Fedorov discusses military technology cooperation with former Google CEO

Vice Prime Minister for Innovations, Development of Education, Science and Technology - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov discussed military technology cooperation with former Google CEO, billionaire Eric Schmidt.

Fedorov said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“A visionary, billionaire, former CEO of Google and a great friend of Ukraine. Eric has been helping our country financially and technologically for a long time. At the meeting, new stages of cooperation were discussed, in particular, in the most important area of military technologies," the Vice Prime Minister noted.

Fedorov added that he cannot reveal the details, but there is a lot of work ahead.

"Thank you Eric for the inspiring conversation. We continue to unite the best people around Ukraine," he emphasized.

Eric Schmidt served as CEO of Google in 2001-2011, was also a member of the board of directors of Apple and major IT companies, cooperated with the U.S. Department of Defense in matters of innovation. The Schmidt family established foundations engaged in charity in the areas of sustainable development and responsible use of natural resources.

According to Forbes, Schmidt's net worth will reach $16.2 billion in 2023.
