Ukrainian Ombudsman: Officially there are 365 illegal adoptions of our children in Russia
That's according to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets in an interview with ISLND TV, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"I can say this publicly - I do not know exactly how many Ukrainian children have been adopted by Russian families. But I can say that as of today, we have officially recorded 365 illegal adoptions of Ukrainian children. This is where we found official confirmation - through the media, our communication channels. But... there are thousands of them," Lubinets emphasized.
According to him, there are these children both in the territory of the Russian Federation and in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
"We are doing everything to get information. And the Russian side is constantly trying to cut off these channels so that we can't get anything at all (no data - ed.). The other side does not give us any information at all. But we continue to do it (receive data - ed.)," the Ombudsman said.
Answering the question, the Ombudsman noted that he had not communicated with the Russian Children's Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova and informed that he was satisfied with communication with the Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova.
As reported, human rights activists said that Russians are massively detaining minors in the occupied territory of Ukraine.
