Faith in Armed Forces, family, daily work help Ukrainians to remain resilient

During the war, Ukrainians' resilience is most strongly supported by their faith in the Armed Forces, communication with family and friends, and daily work.

Director of the Sociological Group «Rating» Oleksiy Antypovych said this during the presentation of the study "Resilience during the war and in the post-war period: what Ukrainians rely on", Ukrinform reports.

"86% of Ukrainians remain resilient during the war thanks to their faith in the Armed Forces, 61% - thanks to their family, relatives, and friends, 31% - thanks to their daily work," Antypovych said.

In addition, 23% of Ukrainians are helped by faith in the state, 22% by religion, faith in God, 12% by volunteering, fundraising, 12% by international assistance, 7% by faith in society, 6% by avoiding any news and negative information, and 4% by culture (music, literature, etc.).

The survey was conducted by the Sociological Group «Rating» on behalf of the National Platform for Resilience and Cohesion.

The survey was conducted on June 6-11, 2023 by CATI (telephone interviews) among the population of Ukraine aged 18 and older throughout the country, except for the temporarily occupied Crimea and Donbas. 1200 respondents were interviewed.

As Ukrinform reported, about 15 million people in Ukraine will need psychological support after the war.
