Only owners of Russian passports can receive hepatitis vaccine in occupied Kherson region
Oleshky Mayor Yevhen Ryshchuk said this in an interview with an Ukrinform correspondent.
"The occupiers are vaccinating against hepatitis A, typhoid and, I think, tetanus... They said they would give (the population - ed.) three, but they are giving only one (vaccination - ed.) - against hepatitis A," Ryshchuk said.
According to him, three vaccinations are given only to "police officers" and the military. As for the population, if a person wants to receive the 10 000 rubles promised by the occupiers, he or she must first be vaccinated against hepatitis A.
The mayor noted that, according to his information, a Russian passport is required to receive 10 000 rubles - everything is aimed at Russian passportization.
He also said that in the occupied territories, the occupiers hide the deaths of people from flooding - they indicate that the cause of death is, for example, heart disease. The mayor suggests that there may also be a corruption component to this - to receive bribes for a truthful certificate.
Ryshchuk said that in the high-rise buildings of the Amethyst neighborhood, all the apartments whose owners have left are being robbed by the Russian military, "taking things away."
The enemy, he said, also places its military equipment ("Grad", "TOS-1 Buratino") for cover among residential areas, and shells from there.
As Ukrinform reported, on the night of June 6, the Russian army blew up the dam of the Kakhovka HPP, causing flooding of parts of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions and at the same time critical shallowing of the Kakhovka reservoir.
In the fall of 2022, the Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated the right-bank part of Kherson region, including the city of Kherson. Part of the region, located on the left bank of the Dnipro River, is temporarily occupied by Russian troops.
