Hotels in Crimea cut prices for tourists by up to 40% due to falling demand
That's according to the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Ukrinform reports.
"In order to "resolve" the situation with kilometer-long traffic jams on the "Crimean bridge", the occupation administration is coming up with plans to compensate tourists by extending their stay at the hotel or transferring the cost of living," the statement said.
The Mission noted that large-scale traffic jams on the illegally built bridge across the Kerch Strait have been formed since the beginning of July due to an increase in the number of inspection points and checks of all vehicles.
It is also noted that hotels in Crimea have reduced prices for tourists by up to 40% due to low demand.
"At the same time, due to the high workload of the resorts in Krasnodar region, the hotel capacity in Crimea in June did not exceed 50%," the agency added.
As Ukrinform reported, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Tamila Tasheva said that the tourist season in the temporarily occupied Crimea was disrupted by the full-scale war.
