About UAH 10M needed to preserve Skovoroda Museum destroyed by Russians
Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
"To carry out preservation there, we need about UAH 10 million, which is a lot of money. Because preservation is not just about putting up a canopy to protect it from, say, rain. This is a certain set of measures. We currently have several proposals, and we are working with them. We are also working with international partners and donors who are ready to help with the restoration of the museum and other cultural sites affected by Russian aggression. So if the project is implemented, the object will be preserved, and it will turn out that we have wasted budget funds. If we fail to attract donor funds, we will take preservation measures until winter," explained Syniehubov.
As reported, a direct hit from a Russian missile on the night of May 7, 2022, destroyed the National Literary and Memorial Museum of Skovoroda in the village of Skovorodynivka in Kharkiv region.
