Ukraine's three largest charities get UAH 8.4B in donations in H1, 2023
That's according to the open data monitoring platform Opendatabot, Ukrinform reports.
"In the first six months of 2023, UAH 8.4 billion was deposited into the accounts of the three largest charitable foundations in Ukraine. For comparison, this is 22% less than in the second half of 2022. The United24 platform received the largest amount of donations, a record sum over the entire period of the big war. Donations to other foundations also increased significantly compared to previous months," the report reads.
In particular, the United24 platform collected the bulk of donations in the first half of the year – UAH 5.54 billion or 66% of the total amount. Some UAH 1.81 billion (22%) went to the accounts of the Come Back Alive foundation, and about UAH 1 billion (12%) was donated to the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation.
Most of the funds transferred to United24 accounts are intended for the Ukrainian Armed Forces (for defense) — UAH 4.93 billion or 89% of all funds received by the platform. The remaining 11% was collected for medical aid and for the reconstruction of Ukraine — UAH 450 million and UAH 160 million, respectively.
