Russian invaders threaten Ukrainians over photos with flag, Ukrainian music - Melitopol mayor
That’s according to the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, who spoke on the air of the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.
"The occupiers have invented a new method of filtration at checkpoints and during searches. Not only do they check messengers on social networks and messages on gadgets, now they even search for certain photos. If there are any photos with the Ukrainian flag, they force people to remove them," Fedorov said.
The mayor added that the invaders also consider Ukrainian songs “Nazi” and threaten people if they find any in their phones.
"They no longer know how to terrorize our civilian population in order to put an end to local resistance that is ongoing," says Fedorov.
As reported earlier, the occupiers continue to use Melitopol as a logistical and administrative hub for their forces. Enemy equipment is deployed in all directions, moving through the city, and there are now more Russian soldiers out on the streets than local residents.
