MEP Sikorski brings cars, drones to Ukrainian military
This was reported to Ukrinform's own correspondent by the MEP's assistant from his Warsaw office, Aleksandra Klimont.
On Tuesday, Sikorski announced on social media that he is currently in Kyiv, taking with a group of volunteers a number of vehicles to Kharkiv, bound for the Ukrainian military.
As Klimont reported, the convoy now has a total of six cars, the purchase, repair and transportation of which was organized by the Polish volunteer Mateusz Wodzinski (Exen).
At the same time, Sikorski is going on a volunteer mission to Ukraine for the third time as part of the "Exen" group, which has purchased and handed over 116 pickup trucks to the Ukrainian military in more than a year.
"Together with my wife, we financed the purchase of two pickup trucks. This time the sponsors are our friends from Great Britain and the USA. They also allocated funds for the purchase of more than 20 drones, which will be handed over to the Airborne Assault Troops unit in Kharkiv tomorrow," said Sikorski.
According to the MEP, the cars will be handed over to specific units in the east of Ukraine.
Sikorski is an MEP with the European People's Party, a member of the Polish Civic Platform. In previous years, he was, in particular, Minister of Defense, Foreign Affairs Minister, and, Marshal of the Polish Sejm.
