No one will forgive MPs, officials for opposing themselves to the state - Zelensky
The head of state said this in his daily address, Ukrinform reports.
"No one will forgive deputies, judges, 'military commissars' or any other officials for opposing themselves to the state. For someone, these are islands and resorts during the war, for someone, these are earnings in a 'military enlistment office,' and for someone, these are bribes in the courts. For any public officials, this is a betrayal of state principles, this is a betrayal of public interests," he said.
Zelensky said that millions of Ukrainians, day after day, are maximally focused on one thing - not on themselves, not on their own desires, but on the protection of the state and life.
At the same time, it seems to some people that the war is far away from them, he said.
"I want all deputies, all officials to hear me now. You have to work. In Ukraine and for the interests of the Ukrainian people. I am grateful to deputies who are really engaged in the interests of the state. As for those who think about how to spend more time abroad and are looking for 'profitable' business trips, so that they can be combined with business, with friends or 'beaches,' there will be none of you," Zelensky warned.
Earlier reports said that Kyiv's Pechersky District Court on July 25 chose for Yevhen Borysov, the former head of the Odesa Regional Center for Recruitment and Social Support who is charged with illegal enrichment, a measure of restraint in the form of detention with the possibility of posting UAH 150 million bail.
On July 25, Servant of the People MP Yurii Aristov, deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada committee on national security, defense and intelligence, tendered his resignation after he was seen vacationing in the Maldives.
