"Air Alert" app raises UAH 10 million for drones to support AFU
That's according to the Ministry of Digital Transformation on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"Users of the Air Alert mobile application transformed their anger into helping the Ukrainian Defense Forces. To reduce the number of attacks, Ukrainians have donated UAH 10 million to destroy the occupiers," the statement said.
Part of the funds will be used to raise funds for United24 ambassador Mark Hamill, the actor who played Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. RQ-35 Heidrun drones will be purchased, which allow Ukrainian defenders to conduct aerial reconnaissance.
The rest of the funds will be allocated to the Army of Drones project, which purchases various types of drones needed by the military at the front.
As reported, the Army of Drones is a project launched by the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Digital Transformation. It is a comprehensive program that includes systematic procurement of drones, their repair, and training courses for relevant specialists.
