Kondratiuk, Croatia’s FM commemorate Holodomor victims

"I and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia Gordan Grlić Radman honored the memory of the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933," Kondratiuk posted on Facebook.

She thanked the Croatian government and parliament which recently officially recognized the Holodomor as the genocide against the Ukrainian people.

Kondratiuk noted that the Parliament adopted the decision on June 28, 2023, on the Constitution Day of Ukraine, which, according to her, testifies to friendly Croatia's deep understanding of the importance of restoring historical justice for the Ukrainian people.

"Today, with its aggression in Ukraine, Russia is also committing genocide, in fact, using the same methods. They seek to destroy the Ukrainian people, our language, faith and culture. They are destroying grain stocks and attacking our agricultural farms, trying to provoke a global food crisis and famine," said the Deputy Speaker.

She noted that the genocide of 1932-33 remained without a real response from the international community, and some even questioned the artificial famine in Ukraine arranged by the communists and helped to hide the truth.

"The world has no right to repeat its mistakes this time. The inevitability of punishing the Russian Federation for the present-day genocide against the Ukrainian people is a moral, legal and human obligation of the international community," Kondratiuk summarized.
