Occupiers take Crimean Tatar to unknown destination after searching his house in Crimea
Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"In the occupied Crimea, in the city of Eski Qırım / Staryi Krym, Russian punishers broke into the house of 30-year-old Crimean Tatar Asan Zekeriaiev and after a search took him away in an unknown direction," Chubarov said.
Chubarov noted that Asan Zekeriaiev is married and has two minor children. During the search, he was at home alone and only managed to send an SMS message that unknown persons had broken into his house.
Activists of the Crimean Solidarity reported that Zekeriaiev's relatives filed a statement with the police about his abduction.
As Ukrinform reported, the Kremlin currently holds 179 political prisoners - citizens of Ukraine, and most of them are Crimean Tatars.
