Russian forces "confiscating" homes of Tokmak residents - General Staff
Among other things, they have been "confiscating" their homes, says the spokesman for the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Andriy Kovalev, who spoke on the air of the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.
He said Russian invaders continued to actively engage in looting and abuse the peaceful Ukrainian population in the temporarily occupied territories.
"Russian occupiers originally from the Republic of Buryatia arrived in the town of Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region, where they have been systematically terrorizing local residents, allegedly checking their real estate ownership paperwork," Kovalev said.
According to the spokesperson, if the invaders find that the residents have no documents proving their right to residence, they seize real estate property and other belongings as part of what they call "confiscation". All dissenters are subjected to physical violence.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the enemy shelled Zaporizhzhia overnight Tuesday, hitting four apartment blocks.
