Sytnyk steps down as deputy head of National Agency on Corruption Prevention

That's according to the press service of the anti-corruption watchdog, Ukrinform reports.

"Today, on June 3, 2024, Artem Sytnyk, deputy head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, left his post," the report reads.

The agency's press service has yet to comment on the reason behind the resignation of the official.

On May 12, 2022, Sytnyk was appointed deputy head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention and was responsible for coordinating interaction with law enforcement and prosecutor's offices, including ensuring consideration of substantiated conclusions about crimes, identification of assets of persons involved in military aggression against Ukraine.

His responsibilities also included financial control, conducting special inspections, monitoring the lifestyle of officials, checking compliance with legislation, including in the field of corruption prevention, as well as preventing and settling conflicts of interest.

At the same time, Sytnyk was responsible for monitoring and controlling the implementation of legislation on ethical behavior.

From 2015 to 2022, Sytnyk held the position of director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
