The charitable organization Save Ukraine helped six more children, including three half-orphans, to leave the territories temporarily occupied by Russia.

Mykola Kuleba, the founder of Save Ukraine and Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights in 2014-2021, announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“At the weekend our team helped three Ukrainian families leave the temporarily occupied territories. The father of a large family was killed in front of his three children by a Russian shell that landed in the family's yard. The children still do not believe that their father is gone," he said.

According to Kuleba, children from another family witnessed Russian soldiers beating and torturing their father several times. The younger son even stopped talking after seeing what he saw. "But the beating was not all: the Russians regularly threatened the children directly. They told them that their father would be killed, their mother would be forced to serve the Russian military, and they would be taken to an orphanage. It was impossible to live in such conditions," he added.

Fortunately, Kuleba said, these families found Save Ukraine's contacts and asked for help. Now they are safe. Both adults and children are happy they are finally under the Ukrainian flag.

As Ukrinform reported, five orphans who had survived the horrors of deportation by Russians since 2022 were returned to the Mykolaiv region.
