Krakow police on hunt for Ukrainian flag abuse
That’s according to the spokesman for the Krakow police, Piotr Szpiech, who spoke with Ukrinform.
"Questions regarding the participation of certain individuals in this incident are the subject of further investigation by the police. It is about a group of people. Now we have to establish how many of them were on the site and what roles they played," said the spokesman.
He said that currently the police continue to collect evidence in the case and are consulting with the prosecutor's office on their further actions.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, a member of the Polish Sejm from the nationalist Confederation in Poland party, Grzegorz Braun, together with other individuals, removed the Ukrainian flag from the Kosciuszko Mound in Krakow without the permission from local authorities.
The administration of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship complained to the police about the actions of the Polish MP regarding the "theft of the flag and damage to property".
The voivodeship administration emphasized that the arbitrary removal of the Ukrainian flag is an act that goes contrary to the decision of the Kosciuszko Mound Committee. The voivode also intends to report this incident to the lawmakers’ ethics commission of the lower house of the Polish parliament.
Braun is a long-standing Ukrainophobe preaching pro-Russian views. Also in December 2023, after the ceremonial lighting of the candles on the Hanukkah menorah, he put them out with a fire extinguisher in the Sejm lobby.
He was also the only member of the Sejm who, on the eve of the Russian invasion, voted against the adoption of a resolution in support of Ukraine.
