Ukraine, Poland to sign agreement on education - Ministry of Reintegration

The governments of Ukraine and Poland are planning to sign an agreement to regulate the education of Ukrainian children in Polish schools.

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"An intergovernmental agreement is planned to be signed to regulate the education of Ukrainian children in Polish schools," she wrote.

As noted, a draft intergovernmental agreement with the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Poland has already been developed.

In particular, the document will provide for the recognition of Ukrainian educational centers in Poland, the study of Ukrainian as a second foreign language, and the introduction of a Ukrainian studies component.

As reported, Ukrainian schools abroad need more than 6,000 textbooks. Currently, 82% of this need is covered.
