On Wednesday evening, several dozen activists held a rally in support of Ukraine in Boris Nemtsov Square in Prague outside of the Russian embassy HQ.

This was reported by Radio Prague International with reference to ČTK, Ukrinform saw.

The protest rally came as a response to the airstrikes that the Russian army launched on July 8 against Ukrainian cities, including on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv.

The participants applied red paint on a large canvas, white clothes, and their faces. In addition, the protesters held a white canvas against the wreckage of a destroyed car brought from Kyiv region as part of the "Memory of the Nation" exhibition.

"White color and blood show the contrast of innocence and terror," one of the organizers said, explaining the sense of the performance.

In their speeches, demonstrators appealed to NATO to provide military aid to Ukraine. At the same time, according to the participants, it is not enough to deliver only ammunition and funds.

Among the speakers at the event were residents of the Czech Republic and Ukraine, who told their own stories and those of their families and friends from Ukraine. Activists lit candles wrapping up the event.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, a peaceful rally was held in Dublin on July 10 in response to Russia's large-scale missile attack on Ukrainian cities, including on the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv, calling for the Russian Federation to be held accountable for its crimes.
