Ukraine’s Vice PM discusses preparations for winter with UN High Commissioner for Refugees

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk met with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi to discuss the nation’s preparations for the upcoming winter amid Russia’s continued attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

The official reported this via Telegram.

"Today I had a good meeting with a great friend of Ukraine, Filippo Grandi, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. We talked about helping IDPs, supporting Ukrainians abroad, jointly responding to energy challenges, and preparing for winter," she wrote.

Vereshchuk emphasized that Grandi and UNHCR remain credible partners in the humanitarian field.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Ministry of Reintegration together with international partners are implementing three housing projects that will provide more than 3,000 apartments for internally displaced persons.
