Disabled Ukrainians in occupied areas struggling to confirm status

The invaders demand that disabled residents of the temporarily occupied territories obtain Russian certificates to confirm their status to retain social benefits.

That’s according to the National Resistance Center, Ukrinform reports.

It is noted that all disability certificates issued before March 1, 2023, shall be reissued following a new physical.

"However, there are no conditions created for people to pass it. After all, the situation of healthcare facilities in the occupied territories is critical," the NRC notes.

In particular, civilian clinics are primarily obliged to service the Russian military. Also, hospitals are massively understaffed, the report notes.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, referring to the National Resistance Center, Russian puppet authorities have warned residents of the temporarily occupied areas that persons who refuse from obtaining a Russian passport will have their private vehicles seized by local officials.
