Umerov offers Japan to help Ukraine with demining
The parties discussed support for Ukrainian industry and new models of cooperation. The head of the Defense Ministry announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“Japan remains our strategic partner. Our cooperation is being strengthened in response to common security challenges. We discussed support for Ukrainian industry and new models of cooperation. I offered Japan to finance non-lethal assistance for Ukraine, in particular in the field of demining,” Umerov wrote.
According to him, the strategy of the Russian aggressor and the role of North Korean forces in the war against Ukraine were also discussed.
“The DPRK has sent 11,000 troops to the Kursk region. This increases the risk of the transfer of modern military technologies from Russia to the North Korean regime, which creates new threats not only for Europe but also for Asia,” the minister emphasized.
As Ukrinform reported, the new Japanese Ambassador to Ukraine, Masashi Nakagome, arrived in Kyiv in October.
