Zelensky meets with World Athletics president

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has held a meeting with World Athletics President Sebastian Coe.
Zelensky announced this on his Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.
"We appreciate the decisions taken by World Athletics in early March 2022 to ban representatives of Russia and Belarus from participating in any international athletics competitions," he said.
Zelensky also expressed gratitude for the assistance to Ukrainian athletes.
World Athletics (the world governing body for this sport), headed by Sebastian Coe, takes a clear position on the non-admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes, coaches and officials to international competitions and other athletics events and continues to support Ukraine.
