Zavatska reaches final of qualifying at WTA tournament in Prague

Ukrainian Katarina Zavatska has overcome the first round of qualifying at the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Prague Open clay tournament in Prague (Czech Republic) with a prize pool of USD 267,082.

Zavatska, seeded No. 3, defeated Czech Amelie Smejkalova 6-1, 6-4, Ukrinform reports.

Zavatska will play for a place in the main draw against Swiss Conny Perrin, who defeated Czech Tereza Martincova 6-0, 7-5.

The Prague Open tournament will run until 26 July.
