Ukrainian Elina Svitolina has reached the second round of the Olympic tennis tournament in Paris (France).

In the match of the 1/32 finals of the competition, Svitolina confidently defeated Japanese Moyuka Uchijima in 1 hour - 6: 2, 6: 1, Ukrinform reports.

The next rival of the Ukrainian will be the winner of the match between the 5th-seeded American Jessica Pegula and the Swiss Victoria Golubych.

The 2024 Games will last until August 11.

As reported earlier, Svitolina won a bronze medal at the previous Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
