Government allocates UAH 100M for reconstruction works at Okhmatdyt - Shmyhal
This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Today, we are allocating UAH 100 million from the state budget reserve fund for the priority restoration works at Okhmatdyt. We will further increase funding as the reconstruction project is prepared," the Prime Minister said.
He added that each family with children affected by the attack will receive assistance in the amount of UAH 10,800 per family member.
The Prime Minister assured that the children's hospital would be fully rebuilt. According to him, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance were promptly instructed to allocate funds for the reconstruction and assistance to the victims following the tragedy.
As reported by Ukrinform, on July 8, Russia launched massive strikes on Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih and other cities of Ukraine. The Russian attacks killed 42 people, including four children, and injured 190 more.
In Kyiv, one of the missiles hit the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital. Two floors of the hospital's building with an area of approximately 400 square meters were destroyed. Several other buildings were damaged.
