House rebuilt with funds from United24 platform commissioned in Irpin
The press service of the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"In the Kyiv region, the first of 18 apartment buildings that are being rebuilt using the funds collected by the United24 fundraising platform as part of the 'Rebuilding Ukraine' project, has been commissioned," the post reads.
The five-story building at 42 Davydchuka Street suffered significant damage during shelling in March 2022.
The house was reconstructed according to the Build Back Better principle. The project envisaged the restoration of walls and floors, roof, the replacement of windows and doors, the restoration of facade walls and their insulation, the restoration of the drainage system and water supply, as well as the repair of the heating system and interior decoration of apartments, etc.
The cost of repair works amounted to UAH 77.79 million.
Thanks to the implementation of the project, 325 residents of the building will return to their apartments.
The United24 platform is collecting funds as part of the "Rebuilding Ukraine" project to reconstruct 18 houses in the Kyiv region, including in Irpin, Borodianka, Hostomel, and in the villages of Buzova and Myla in the Dmytrivka territorial community. Reconstruction began in January 2023.
The United24 fundraising platform and the LUN company created an interactive map to follow the reconstruction of 18 destroyed buildings in the Kyiv region.
