Enemy fired five Kh-22 cruise missiles at Kyiv – General Staff
The Russian military have fired five Kh-22 cruise missiles at the city of Kyiv. One of them was shot down by the Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units, and the rest hit infrastructure facilities in the northern part of Kyiv.
The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“At about 06:00 a.m., June 5, 2022, the Russian military fired five air-based Kh-22 cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea at the city of Kyiv. One missile was destroyed by the Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Other missiles hit infrastructure facilities in the northern part of Kyiv,” the report states.
The fires caused by Russian missile strikes have been localized and pose no threat at the moment.
A reminder that, in the morning of June 5, 2022, the Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units shot down a Russian missile over Obukhiv District, Kyiv Region.
