In Ukraine, 287 children killed, 508 injured since Russian invasion
As a result of full-scale armed aggression by Russia, 287 Ukrainian children were killed and 508 were injured.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"As of the morning of June 12, 2022, more than 795 children casualties were reported in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation. According to official report by juvenile prosecutors, 287 children were killed and more than 508 were injured," the statement said.
It is noted that the numbers are not final, as work is underway to update data on casualties in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and recently liberated territories.
The most children affected by war were reported in the regions of Donetsk (217), Kharkiv (149), Kyiv (116), Chernihiv (68), Luhansk (53), Kherson (52), Mykolaiv (48), Zaporizhia (30), Sumy (17,) the city of Kyiv (16), and Zhytomyr region (15).

On June 3, a girl, 11, was injured in Balakleia shelling. As a result of the shelling of Kharkiv on May 30, a boy, 16, sustained blast injuries and is now undergoing treatment in a hospital. Also, prosecutors learned that a boy, 17, was injured when the vehicle he was riding was attacked at the onset of the armed aggression in Kharkiv.
It was reported that the Russian military employed cluster munitions at residential areas of Derhachi, Kharkiv region. Two locals were injured.
