In Ukraine’s South, defense forces destroy four Russian tanks, hit enemy air defense systems

Ukrainian servicemen retain control of the operational situation in the South Buh direction. On November 8, the Armed Forces eliminated dozens of Russian invaders.

This was reported by Operational Command South, according to Ukrinform.

Ukrainian Air Force carried out 11 strikes on enemy air defense systems and manpower and equipment clusters. At the same time, missile and artillery units performed 290 fire missions.

As a result, Russia lost:

  • 55 soldiers;
  • four tanks;
  • a Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile complex;
  • an Akatsia self-propelled howitzer;
  • two mortars; and
  • nine armored combat vehicles.

"Two enemy ammunition depots near Snihurivka and Kostromka were destroyed. Other losses are being verified," the statement reads.

The occupiers shelled the settlements adjacent to the line of contact, in particular in the liberated areas, employing artillery, mortars, MLR systems, and other weapons.

From the Black Sea, a Russian Su-30 warplane launched a Kh-31 missile off the coast of Odesa. The incoming missile was shot down.

In the Nikopol region, the invaders fired multiple rocket launchers and heavy artillery. Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities were shelled. Several outbuildings were damaged, but no casualties were reported.

In addition, the enemy aircraft engaged Ukrainian positions four times. In response, the Russians sustained 11 hits on their air defense systems and manpower and equipment clusters.

Meanwhile, eight Russian warships keep maneuvering in the waters of the Black Sea along the southern coast of Crimea. However, no cruise missile carriers on combat duty were spotted among them.
