Russian troops shell Vovchansk this morning
The Russian army shelled the border area of the Kharkiv region on April 6 and attacked the town of Vovchansk, Chuhuiv district, on the morning of April 7.
Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"In the past 24 hours, the enemy shelled the border settlements of the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Bohodukhiv districts using field and jet artillery, mortars and other weapons," he said.
Kupiansk, Vovchansk, Veterynarne, Ohirtseve, Vilkhuvatka, Dvorichna and other settlements came under enemy fire.
According to Syniehubov, Vovchansk was under shelling this morning. Yesterday, on April 6, enemy shelling of the village of Karaichne, Vovchansk community, damaged a private residential building and caused fires.
On April 6, Russian shelling in Kupiansk destroyed a private residential building and outbuildings. No casualties were recorded.
According to the regional governor, explosives specialists of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service examined more than 11 hectares of the area in the Kharkiv region and neutralized 445 explosive items.
