White House announces new military aid package for Ukraine

The United States has provided Ukraine with almost 100% of the military aid it requested, and intends to deliver a new package of support soon.

National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications in the White House John Kirby said this at an online briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, Kirby said new U.S. supplies for Ukraine would be announced soon.

He noted that Ukraine may need not only additional weapons and equipment, but also resources for training combat units.

In addition, the White House representative noted that the U.S. administration continues to count on the support of Congress regarding the allocation of new large-scale aid packages to Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reported, last week U.S. European Command's General Christopher Cavoli said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had received 98% of the weapons and equipment allocated by other countries as military aid to Ukraine.
