Kherson RMA shows village where water receding
The Kherson Regional Military Administration showed a bird's eye view of the village of Kalynivske, which was flooded by the Ingul River: two dozen residential buildings remain under water, and rescuers are pumping out water.
The photo was posted on Telegram by the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reported.
"This is what Kalynivske looks like today from a bird's eye view. Due to the increase in the water level in the Ingul River, the settlement was flooded. About two dozen residential buildings remain under water in the village," the statement said.
As noted, the water has been receding since June 10. In the last 24 hours only, the level has dropped by 62 centimeters and is now 4.03 meters.
Specialists are now working in Kalynivske to eliminate the consequences of the emergency. Yesterday, rescuers pumped water out of five houses and inspected 14 more.
As reported by Ukrinform, at night on June 6, the Russian army blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.
According to the RMA, on June 14, as of the morning, the average level of flooding is 2.13 meters. This is 32 centimeters less than last night. The downward trend in water level remains.
