Ukrainian air defenses down eight Shahed drones, three Kalibr missiles overnight

Ukraine’s air defenses destroyed eight enemy Shahed attack UAVs and three Kalibr cruise missiles on the night of July 2.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

On the night of July 2, the Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made Shahed attack drones and three Kalibr cruise missiles. Eight drones were launched from the south-eastern direction, Kalibr cruise missiles were fired from the Black Sea.

"The air defenses of the Air Force were activated in different regions across Ukraine - in the areas of responsibility of the Air Command South, East and Center. All aerial targets - 8 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs and 3 Kalibr cruise missiles were destroyed,” the report says.

As reported by Ukrinform, a man was injured and three private houses were damaged in two districts of Kyiv region by falling debris of enemy drones.
