Ukraine's defense intelligence chief visits Bulgaria

Ukraine's Defense Intelligence Chief, Major General Kyrylo Budanov, and a delegation he led have paid an official visit to Bulgaria.

That's according to the BTA news site, which refers to a press release from Bulgaria's Military Intelligence Service, Ukrinform reports.

At a meeting, Bulgarian Defense Minister Todor Tagarev and the Director of Bulgaria's Defense Intelligence Service, Brigadier General Venelin Venev, discussed with Major General Budanov the Myrotvorets website and regional and international security, among other topics.

"The prospects for the development of the situation and other matters of mutual interest were also on the agenda. The hosts raised and clarified the issue with the Myrotvorets website," the press release said.

The sides were highly appreciative of the meetings held. "An emphasis was laid on the productivity of the talks, and satisfaction was expressed with the level of bilateral cooperation," the statement said.

The Myrotvorets website contains a list of enemies of Ukraine, including Bulgarian politicians, analysts and journalists holding strongly pro-Russian positions.
