Coordination HQ hit by cyberattack
Hackers targeted information resources of Ukraine’s Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
The Coordination HQ reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Today [January 28], a DDoS attack on the information resources of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War was recorded. Apparently, the enemy decided that information, in particular, about the details of the exchange of prisoners of war and the downing of an IL-76 aircraft, poses a threat to them," the post says.
It is noted that for security purposes, access to some functions and resources will be temporarily limited.
"Despite all the obstacles, the Coordination Headquarters continues to work on the return of our citizens from Russian captivity," the Coordination HQ assured.
As reported by Ukrinform, on January 25, the gas supply company Naftogaz of Ukraine and Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine LLC recorded a large-scale cyberattack on one of their data centers. The companies' websites and call center were out of service.
