Sumy, Chernihiv regions come under Russian fire 30 times in past day
Russian troops shelled the border territories of Chernihiv and Sumy regions 30 times in the past day with various types of weapons.
Operational Command North reported the update on Facebook, Ukrinform learned.
"The invaders continue to shell areas in Chernihiv and Sumy regions close to the border with Russia. A total of 30 strikes (121 explosions) involving various types of weapons were recorded yesterday," the report reads.
In Chernihiv region, Russian invaders attacked the Semenivka community where 14 explosions were recorded in Prohres, nine – in Bleshnia, and four – in Zaricchia. In the Snovsk community, five blasts were heard in Kliusy. As for the Novhorod-Siverskyi community, four explosions rocked Hremiach.
In Sumy region, five strikes targeted Holyshivske, 19 explosions were recorded in Kindrativka, five – in Pavlivka, three – in Stukalivka, two – in Myropillia, where a household sustained damaged. Mezenivka – two explosions, Volfyno – four explosions, Zapsillia – a single explosion, Yastrubyno – two explosions, and Iskryskivshchyna – three explosions.
Okhtyrka district: Dmytrivka – two explosions, Popivka – single explosion.
Konotop district: Boyaro-Lezhachi – 14 explosions.
Shostka district: Shostka – two explosions. Lisne – three explosions, Khodyne – two explosions, Demianivka – two explosions.
Casualty and destruction reports from the ground are being verified.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on June 2, Russia launched a rocket salvo targeting critical infrastructure in the Shostka district, Sumy region.
