Intel chief on Ukrainian strikes inside Russia: Russians “already feeling them”

Russians are already feeling the effect of Western weapons hitting targets on their territory.

This was stated by the head of Ukraine’s defense intelligence (GUR), Kyrylo Budanov, who spoke on the air of the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.

"They (Russians - ed.) are already feeling all this. How can they prepare? As they say, it’s a bit too late," he said.

According to the intelligence chief, the permission received from Western partners to use their weapons to strike targets inside Russia will improve the situation for the Ukrainian military at the front.

At the same time, Budanov noted that the claims of various "red lines" allegedly drawn by Russian “so-called President Vladimir Putin” are just a show for the public.

"Do they (red lines - ed.) exist at all? No. If they exist, where are they? How many times have they said over the years that they have been breached. I think it's all about playing to the public," the top spy said.

As reported, in May 2024, White House adviser John Kirby announced that the Pentagon had already ensured the delivery of part of the previous lethal aid package to the Ukrainian frontlines and is now working to deliver the remaining part of weaponry and equipment, including from the latest aid package.
